cooking(back in Kuwait I was living in my family in low's house I didn't need to cook, So in San diego I am discovering cooking)

Hi Nour, I think crocheting is a super idea. Having a skill that can be useful, being able to make gifts, also, just having something to do when you want to turn your mind off for a bit. Plus, once you dtart you just continue to improve. I think I'm ready to join you!
ReplyDeleteHi Nour, It is Stephanie again. I think I also like the knitting idea because of an amazing TED talk I saw a while ago about Alzheimer's and learned rote skills I'll try to find the link for you. Basically it stated that patients who have a skill like knitting are happier. They can retreat to the familiar by just engaging in something that they mind and body know very well. It was very powerful.
ReplyDeleteThe more that I see others post about cooking, I now want to take up cooking. I am a terrible cook, so this being an assignment maybe it will motivate me to want to do something, my husband would enjoy it! :)
ReplyDeleteHi Nour, Not sure what a cobord is...please explain in class! I vote for Tennis! It's a wonderful sport, gets you outside and focuses you on something that builds good health and stamina. It can be kind of meditative with the back and forth volleys that (eventually!) will occur. It also requires some strategy which comes more into play when as your skills increase.
ReplyDeleteCrochet could be very relaxing and a great escape from work and class.
ReplyDeleteWe both had the crochet idea! I think either that or a painting, something you can create. :)
ReplyDeleteCrocheting would be relaxing and fun, but I like the idea of photoshop. Think of all the fun stuff you could do with it! :)
ReplyDeleteThis sounds great Nour! I've been wanting to crochet since I was little too :) good luck!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI think painting or cooking would be great arts to learn! Can't wait to see what you paint or cook - I"m sure both will be fantastic!

ReplyDeleteNour,
I would go with tennis or cooking, because both have theraputic aspects. With tennis, you would get a great work out as well as being able to learn a new life long sport. Cooking also would have great pragmatic value because you can use it in your daily life...not to mention I personally would LOVE to taste a dish from Kuwait.
